French Cafe Creperie

While in Key West recently I rediscovered a wonderful creperie.  It had formerly been located on Duval St. near Truman, but was closed due to a fire several years ago.  I was sad to find it no longer in existence during my previous visit there.  After a hiatus of a couple of years it reopened last winter in a new location.  It is operated by two middle aged ladies from Bretangne and a francophone staff of Quebecoise.

The menu includes "dinner" crepes made with buckwheat flour, dessert crepes, and a few non-crepe menu items.  I crepes I tried, La Campagnard, La Printenterie, and #11 (I forget the name) were excellent.  They also produce a killer Croque Madame, delicious French Onion Soup, and serve wine and beer as well.

When in Key West check out La Creperie at the corner of Thomas and Petronia Streets.  You won't be disappointed!
