AFT Visits the River Raisin Battlefield Site

07 Jun 2012 11:39 AM | Anonymous member
The evening of Wednesday, May 16th was a beautiful day for AFT Board Member Ralph Naveaux to host the Alliance on a tour of the River Raisin Battlefield site in Monroe, Michigan.  Ralph is a former manager at the site and continues to volunteer there.  It was a beautiful evening to be outdoors and to learn of the early French settlers in our area, and to see the site of one of the historic conflicts that shaped our country.  Following the tour the group traversed the River Raisin and headed south on the route of the old trail to arrive at the Michigan Bar & Grill for a fine dinner together.
