I hope that, by following my blog, people who haven’t got a lot of time for listening to the radio or reading newspapers will find some short articles of interest. For those whose knowledge of French is limited, the English version will help them to understand and will provide them with useful expressions and vocabulary.

The blog’s success and my students’ enthusiasm have encouraged me to create a unique website. What I’m trying to do is to give you online the same sort of experience you’d have if you were to have private lessons with me. Have a look at:

Open your heart and share America with an International Student!

I am reaching out to you to see if you would be interested in hosting a foreign exchange student or know someone who would be interested.  We have several students just waiting to hear about their new host family in America!   We accept all kinds of families, kids, no kids, empty nesters, single parents, and so on.  The main requirement is love, kindness and willingness to learn about your student's culture and share yours with them.

We have a great group of students for the 2014-2015 school year.  Many of these kids are multi- talented and would love to be involved in their American High School. These kids are excited about the opportunity to live in our great state!  They ask some cute questions: "Are there horses in Ohio?" "Do you have a nice family for me?" "Are schools like in the movies?"  The kids are nervous but excited at the same time.  ETC is trying to best accommodate these students, so perhaps you can help us.  As you know, hosting an exchange student proves to be a great promoter of diversity and diplomacy for our local communities, which is one of our first and foremost goals.

Our students are age 15-18 and have the appropriate visa, medical insurance and pay for all of their own expenses, with the exception of food and housing. I have a few students arriving in August staying for the school year  that still seek a host home. Here is a great students from France.

Samuel-  17 year old boy from the east side of France. Samuel likes to practice all sports, he enjoys spending time with his friends and try new things. He speaks French, English and German. It is his dream to live in America for a time, to experience the culture and lifestyle. Samuel has 2 older sisters and a younger brother. His father is a farmer and he has helped plant in the summer. He says he is open minded,  sociable and a positive person. Samuel is arriving in August and staying for the school year.

Alix- 16 year old girl from France. Alix loves to dance, classical and modern styles. She also enjoys drama and has been involved in school productions. She has traveled with her family and is excited to experience life in the USA. She is a middle child and has two sisters. Her favorite school subjects are English, economics and history. Alix hopes to go into Law in the future but wouldn’t mind being an actress as well. Alix arrives in August and will be here for the school year.

If you are interested in hosting, please contact me.  If you are not able to do this, we do understand, but do ask you to help by please passing this e-mail along to anyone you think might be interested in welcoming a student in their home or who you think would make a great host family.

Thank you for your help and taking time to read this request.
