$1,000 Travel/Study Abroad Scholarship

Eligibility:

The Alliance Française of Toledo invites applicants from local area students enrolled full-time in an accredited post-secondary program to apply for a $1,000 scholarship towards travel/study abroad programs in a French-speaking country. Eligible students must be 18 years or older and demonstrate interest in pursuing a program that promotes an interest in the French language and/or culture and be of benefit to our local community. The recipient will be selected from among the finalists who will be interviewed in both English and French by the Scholarship committee. Travel abroad must be completed by June 30, 2020. Upon their return, the scholarship recipient will be expected to present a brief presentation detailing how the scholarship funds were used and may be asked to attend one of our events and share with our members how the funded studies helped promote the mission of our Alliance Française.

Limitations:

Family members and relatives of a Board member or employee of the Alliance Française of Toledo are not eligible for the scholarship.

Deadlines:

Deadline for submitting the complete application, essays and references is  extended to February 28, 2019.  All applications received after this date will not be considered.
